Abstract

The presence of cognitive impairment in patients with epilepsy, given the relationship with quality of life indicators, is of great importance for the choice of antiepileptic drugs. 66 patients with epilepsy were examined. A relationship was found between cognitive impairments and quality of life with the duration of the disease and the frequency of seizures. Assessment of cognitive impairments and the quality of life of patients in dynamics shows the effectiveness of antiepileptic drugs. When comparing carbamazepine and keppra, it was found that kepp has a beneficial effect on cognitive function and improves the quality of life of patients.
